Plight of the Dungeon Keeper

Welcome to the dungeon! You play as a mysterious dungeon keeper, who has to design the layouts for a dangerous dungeon that only the strongest of heroes can conquer! Carve out a level path along a level-grid, and revive however many enemies you wish. Just make sure there's no kids with swords walking into the dungeon (they would have to complete the dungeon in reverse! Well, if they were to stumble in somehow).

Featuring:

• 2D top-down adventure gameplay inspired by the NES/SNES Zelda games
• Randomly-generated level layouts with each playthrough
• A charming pixel-art style
• An original soundtrack combining retro chiptones and modern music styles

Controls:

• Use the arrow keys to move the Dungeon Keeper and the Hero around the dungeon
• Press the B key to revive enemies as the Dungeon Keeper, or to swing your sword as the Hero

Plight of the Dungeon Keeper was originally made for the 'Mini Jame Gam #14' game jam, following the themes 'Reverse' and 'Flag', however we unfortunately did not make the deadline. We took our time to polish the game since the game jam's original date. Please enjoy!
