'Open-Mic Knight' is a fast-paced arcade typing game where you are tasked with performing a comedy show while making sure you're not getting heckled by the ferocious crowd!

You play as an average joe, trying to make ends meet in the world of medieval England, having signed up for an open-mic slot at the nearby tavern to see if you can rack up some dough. Type out your jokes in quick succession to keep the audience entertained, while avoiding different objects being thrown at you. Match up the correct "word bubbles" with your current joke to ensure you're not fumbling your delivery. The longer you can keep the crowd satisfied, the more score you'll rack up, but if they're not happy, a deadly fate awaits! Comedy has never been deadlier!

This game was made in 48 hours for Global Game Jam 2024 (UWE Bristol Foundry GGJ24), with the theme: "Make Me Laugh". What you are seeing here is the submitted slightly-buggy-but-still-very-playable final build that we submitted before the deadline.
